Live beats, bold bites, and the summer’s most electric set menu

From the first sip to the last bite, Samba Nights at SUSHISAMBA delivers a multisensory celebration of summer unlike anything else in Riyadh right now. Running from July 1 through September 26, the evenings pair a curated multi-course Taste of Samba menu with the pulse of a live Latin band and DJ spinning from 8 pm to midnight, Tuesday through Friday.
The result is pure, polished escapism; a culinary carnival perched high above the city.
The Taste of Samba menu draws from the restaurant’s signature blend of Japanese, Brazilian, and Peruvian influences, presented in a thoughtfully layered progression that balances comfort, creativity, and just the right amount of flair.
We started with edamame dusted with sea salt and lime, followed by a perfectly crisp shrimp tempura, lifted by a spicy mayonnaise and a green pea-black truffle vinaigrette that lingered like a good samba rhythm. The Samba Corn Salad was a standout with smoked sweet corn with goma dressing and coriander leche de tigre that delivered both sweetness and punch in a single spoonful.

From there, the seabass ceviche gave the meal a bright, citrusy pivot, while the wagyu gyoza, served with silky kabocha purée and sweet soy, was delicate but deeply satisfying. By the time we reached mains, we were fully immersed in the SUSHISAMBA mood, part fine dining lounge, part open-air energy.
The black cod anticucho, smoky and laced with miso, and the umami-rich tenderloin truffle rice with Japanese mushrooms and chimichurri, proved that indulgence doesn’t always need to shout. It was elevated, confident, and perfectly timed to the rising tempo of the band in the background.
Of course, no visit to SUSHISAMBA is complete without sushi. The Samba Riyadh roll, with spicy crab, asparagus, and beef bacon cream, felt like a love letter to the city. Meanwhile, the El Topo, a fiery mix of salmon, jalapeño, and mozzarella, was rich and playful. We’d return just for the WagyuTe Amo, with torched wagyu, date jam, and sweet potato—unexpected, balanced, and beautifully plated.
Dessert brought joy in two forms: Sata Andagi, Japanese doughnuts with salted caramel and red fruit coulis, and a comforting chocolate banana cake with maple butter and vanilla ice cream.
The Riyadh Edit Take
Samba Nights isn’t just dinner—it’s a summer ritual, a playlist, and a performance all at once. With its warm energy, flawless pacing, and dishes that feel as expressive as the music, SUSHISAMBA is offering a nightlife experience that goes beyond the table.
Whether you're craving bold flavor, good music, or a little of both, Samba Nights will have you dancing between bites.
