World-class fashion and design education to come to Riyadh in August 2025

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – In a significant development for the Kingdom's burgeoning fashion industry, Istituto Marangoni, the esteemed Italian fashion and design school, is set to inaugurate a new campus in Riyadh in August 2025. This strategic expansion aligns with Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 initiative, aiming to diversify the economy and foster growth in the creative sectors.​

A Collaborative Effort to Elevate Fashion Education

The establishment of the Riyadh campus results from a collaborative partnership between Istituto Marangoni and the Saudi Fashion Commission. This alliance underscores a shared commitment to nurturing local talent and enhancing educational opportunities within the Kingdom's fashion and luxury markets. 

Stefania Valenti, Group Managing Director of Istituto Marangoni, expressed her enthusiasm for the project:

Strategic Location in Riyadh's Creative Hub

The new campus will be situated within the King Abdullah Financial District (KAFD), specifically in the Riyadh Creative District (RCD). This location has been curated by the Royal Commission for Riyadh City (RCRC) to serve as a nucleus for creative industries, attracting prestigious institutions like Istituto Marangoni. 

Comprehensive Academic Programs

Istituto Marangoni's Riyadh campus will offer a diverse array of specialized programs tailored to the evolving needs of the fashion and luxury sectors. The primary academic offering is a three-year Advanced Training Diploma, with courses in:​

These programs are accredited by the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC), ensuring they meet rigorous educational standards. Additionally, the institute will provide upskilling and reskilling courses for industry professionals, available in both full-time and part-time formats. ​

Scholarship Opportunities for Aspiring Designers

Demonstrating a commitment to accessibility and talent development, Istituto Marangoni, in collaboration with the Fashion Commission, will offer 50 scholarships to Saudi students enrolling in the Advanced Training Diploma programs. This initiative is open to Saudi nationals holding a high school certificate or an equivalent qualification, providing a pathway for emerging designers and fashion professionals to receive world-class education within the Kingdom.
